Photography has been a major part of my life ever since a Kodak Instamatic 133x magically arrived in my stocking on December 25, 1976. After leaving school as quickly as possible, and trying to stay at college as long as possible, I became a magazine Art Director in London, carrying my camera with me at all times! Since then I have worked for publishers in Paris, Sydney, the U.S. Virgin Islands, New York, Los Angeles photographing all the way. My first project was 'Signs Of Ageing', which will be forever on-going! I have a passion for typography, as well as photography, so blending the two made perfect sense, but it wasn't just the signage. It had to be distressed and weathered! A crumbling, vintage font hanging from a derelict, decaying building. So beautiful and so full of history. Decay is a thread that runs through a lot of my work, venturing to capture the effects of the elements and time on our life and landscape.
